Contact MatricLink
There is no contact form on this page, and that is deliberate. A form needs a server to receive it, MatricLink does not have one, and a form that silently posts nowhere is worse than no form at all. So it is a plain email address, which goes to a mailbox that is actually read.
Tap or click to open your mail app. It is a personal Gmail address, not a support desk.
How long a reply takes
MatricLink is run by one person outside of working hours, so here is a realistic commitment rather than a flattering one:
| Type of message | Target response |
|---|---|
| A wrong figure or a broken link | 2 working days |
| A general question about the site | 5 working days |
| A POPIA data request (access, correction, deletion) | 30 days, usually far sooner |
| A suggestion for a new page or feature | No promise, but all of them get read |
Between October and February this mailbox gets busy, because that is results and application season. If a reply is slow during those months, it is volume, not indifference. A message never gets deleted unread.
Reporting a wrong figure
This is the most valuable email anyone can send, and it goes to the front of the queue. To make it quick to act on, include:
- The page. Paste the address from your browser's bar.
- What it says now. Copy the sentence or the number that is wrong.
- What it should say.
- Where you saw the correct version. A link to the institution's own page is ideal. "The admissions office told me on the phone" is still useful, it just takes longer to confirm.
Corrections are not made on a single unverified report. Every reported figure is checked against the institution's published source first. What happens after that, including how quickly, is set out in the editorial policy.
Questions that cannot be answered here
Some questions arrive constantly and MatricLink genuinely cannot help with them. Sending them here costs you time you may not have, so here is where they should go instead:
"Will I be accepted at ___?"
Only that institution's admissions office can say. MatricLink has no visibility into any application.
"What is the status of my application?"
Check the institution's applicant portal, or the CAO portal for participating KwaZulu-Natal institutions. MatricLink is not connected to either.
"What is happening with my NSFAS funding?"
Only NSFAS can answer, through their own portal and contact channels. Nothing here affects a funding decision.
"Can you fix my matric results, or get me a certificate?"
No. Results, rewrites, remarks and certificates go through your school, the provincial education department, the DBE and Umalusi. Anyone offering to sell you a certificate is committing a crime and you should not engage with them.
"Will you advertise our college?"
No. There is no paid placement, no sponsored content and no affiliate arrangement on this site, and there will not be. See the disclaimer.
Where MatricLink is based
MatricLink is written and run by Mohapi, a private individual based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
There is no public office and no street address published, because this is a personal project run from home rather than a business, and a home address is not something to publish on a site read by teenagers. Email reaches the same person either way. If you need a physical address for a formal or legal purpose, ask by email and it will be provided.
Before you email
Roughly half the questions that arrive are already answered on the site, usually faster than a reply would come. Worth a look first: the FAQ for questions about APS and applications, how to apply for the CAO and direct-application routes, and low APS courses if your score came in lower than you hoped.
